St. John's Memorial Hall was built in 1970, thanks to the generosity of the late Mrs. Mabel Gutzeit U.E.L. 1881 - 1968, (formerly Mabel Fairfield). Mrs. Gutzeit, whose ancestors had been members of St. John's church for many years, left a large bequest to St. John's for the purpose of building a hall on the lot adjacent to St. John's Cemetery, facing County Road 7. Mrs. Gutzeit had earlier purchased this lot for the Church. The Building Committe hired Mr. Allan Harpell as contractor for the project. The Hall was dedicated on February 28, 1971 by the Rt. Rev. J.B. Creeggan, Lord Bishop of Ontario.

Prior to building St. John's Memorial Hall, the Parishioners used the "Old Parish Hall" on Davy Street, which is now known as the "Layer Cake hall". It is currently occupied as a Public Library.
